We’re We Can Rebuild Him, a commercial photography agency based in Glasgow, Scotland. We’ve been creating delicious, mouth-watering food photography and video content, for businesses throughout Glasgow, Edinburgh and all over Scotland – from Dobbies Garden Centres to Ubiquitous Chip. We’ve got a dedicated food photographer in-house (our co-founder Gail!), and we’ve got lots of experience in overlapping disciplines such as product and lifestyle photography too.
We’ve been lucky enough to work on all kinds of food and drinks photography projects over the years – from menu shoots in small family-owned restaurants where we’ll handle the styling ourselves, to hero shots in a studio with a stylist for high end editorial content, or commercial shoots for household brands like Highland Park, Dobbies, Tennents, Menabrea and more. As with all of our productions, we can scale up or down depending on what’s required by each client!
In food and drinks photography, there’s really no substitute for experience. We’ve photographed dishes on a choppy ferry for CalMac; we’ve shot drinks for Edrington everywhere from Orkney to Copenhagen; we’ve dealt with melting ice cream for Equi’s. We’ve shot in 600 cover restaurants (hi Dobbies in Edinburgh!) and we’ve shot in food trucks where there’s no room to bring a KP; we never make enemies in the kitchen (rule number one!) and promise we’ll never phone a chef during a Friday lunch service (ever again)!

Food Video Production Included
A big part of what we offer at We Can Rebuild Him is video production services – and for many years, we’ve had a side specialisation in food video. There’s something very specific that’s required in food cinematography. We’ve got enough experience in food video production to know that the dishes require meticulous lighting and beautifully balanced colours; we’re never trying to change the colour of a dish, we’re trying to enhance what’s been crafted in the kitchen.
As with all of our commercial photography, we can scale our video production crews up and down depending on the needs. We’ve done one-man-band videographer style gigs in bakeries, and we’ve shot with full crews for bigger clients like Highland Park or Dobbies. We’re always working with great food stylists, and we’ve got a contact book to bet the house on, for everything from social media content to TV advertising.
Ultimately whether it’s Chef’s Table-style hero dish cinematography, or it’s fast, impactful vertical content shot for socials, we’ll make sure the food looks at its best and that the content is designed to cut through.

Don’t Forget Drinks
We’re lucky enough to have shot in some wonderful bars throughout Glasgow, Edinburgh and beyond – including Helium Cocktail Bar in Copenhagen for Highland Park Whisky – and it’s one of the most exciting challenges in commercial photography to shoot great drinks photography. Even more so than food, the perfect drinks shot – the right frosting on the glass; the perfect amount of froth – can practically be tasted through a screen.
Working in Scotland on the doorstep of the Scotch Whisky industry and with its rich and growing beer and lager sector, we’ve also been lucky enough to create a range of content for socials, web and print, for companies like Edrington, Seventeen Black Whisky, Drygate, Tennents, Highland Park, Heverlee, and many more.
